What N=1 means

You are an experiment of ONE.

In a study, n is the number of participants. An n of 1 is a study with a single participant, and in most of science that is not a good thing.

However, in your own body it is the only honest description of what is happening.

A reference range tells you whether you look like everybody else. It cannot tell you whether the thing you changed 3 months ago did anything.

The only comparison that means anything is your own. You, against you, under the same conditions, over time.

This is the part you control.

Start your N=1 now.

~30%Finger-prick FBC failure rate
<1%Venous

The laboratory puts the failure rate for a full blood count on a finger-prick sample at around 30%. That is why we don't sell one.

Our position

A blood test is a snapshot of one morning. That is an argument against testing once, not an argument against testing.
