The end product of purine breakdown. At high enough concentrations it crystallises in joints, which is what gout is.

Timing

Ideally fasted. Uric acid moves after a purine-rich meal.

Ideal, not required. Glucose is the only marker we sell that is invalid unfasted. If fasting does not fit your day, take it anyway and do the same next time.
